Curd Filtration Drum

Curd Filtration Drum: A device employed to separate whey from the curd obtained from the cheese vat.
This drum features a continuous rotation mechanism, and its perforated surface, with 1 mm diameter holes, serves as the filtering medium for the curd as it passes through. The spiral pipe inside the drum facilitates the movement of curd within the drum during this filtration process.
The whey, once separated from the curd, flows into the tank situated beneath the drum.
Subsequently, the filtered whey is transported to the curd boiling tank via a whey pump.
The choice of whey pump capacity is determined through meticulous flow pressure calculations tailored to each specific operation.
To ensure convenient cleaning, both the drum and boat are designed to be easily detachable and removable.
All components involved in this process, including the drum, whey tank, pipe connections, and whey pump, are crafted from AISI 316 quality material, chosen for its corrosion resistance as they operate within an acidic environment.

Curd Drum

This apparatus is employed for separating whey from the curd that emerges from the cheese processing tank.
A rotating drum featuring 1 mm diameter perforations continuously revolves, allowing the curd to pass through and undergo straining. Within this process, a spirally designed pipe positioned inside the drum facilitates the curd’s movement through the drum.
The liquid filtered from the drum flows down into the whey trough located at the bottom.
Via a whey pump directly linked to the vessel, the filtered whey is directed either to the whey storage tank or, if further processing is required, to the curd boiling tank.
The selection of the whey pump’s capacity is determined by calculating the flow pressure for each specific business operation.
Both the drum and the vessel are engineered to be easily disassembled, simplifying the cleaning process.
The drum, whey tank, pipe connections, and whey pump are fabricated from AISI 316 quality material due to their exposure to an acidic environment during operation.
